The American Institute of Architects (AIA) has elevated a professor of architecture at The University of Texas at Arlington from member-architect to its College or university of Fellows, an honor reserved for members who have manufactured sizeable contributions to the job.

Ursula Emery-McClure of the School of Architecture, Organizing and General public Affairs (CAPPA) is just one of just 88 architects elevated to the AIA Higher education of Fellows in 2022.

Emery-McClure joined CAPPA as a Ralph Hawkins Checking out Professor.
